Re: TR7 Replacement Body Panel Project (TR Drivers Club Tooling Fund)

Gordon, John, Good to hear that people want to help. I have also been offered NOS sills for patterns - somewhere amongst enthusiasts there will be every part we need I would imagine. John Clancy and I are meeting with a potential manufacturer at the NEC Classic Car Show next month and I will provide...

Re: Build date

Christopher Kenneth Smith should be able to help more precisely but an estimate of August 1980 based on some of the TR8 VIN records I hold.

Re: Enamel Bonnet Badge

Some good news, I should have a production sample in 3-4 weeks. It will be a chrome bevelled edge with a resin domed top and 3M adhesive backing. It will be visually similar but not made exactly the same way. Price is lower too and should be around the £40 ($50) - £50 ($75) mark rather than to £75 /...

Re: Enamel Bonnet Badge

Sadly they are not able to remake this badge. I have a few other avenues to explore................
Things are looking more positive with another potential supplier - especially as the cost is likely to be lower! More details later.

Re: Enamel Bonnet Badge

Spoke with Rimmer Brothers yesterday and though their website says "Enamel Badge - Self Adhesive - Triumph Laurel Wreath - Pending Manufacture - XKC3902" it was confirmed that they are NOT pending manufacture at present. They did say they would be interested in buying some - so all being w...

Re: Stickers and Labels TR7 TR8 and variants!

My thanks to Paul McDonald for the attached. This and the 1980 TR8 US emission labels should be delivered next week! That makes almost 20 different emission labels for the TR7 and TR8 from US market and a couple more for the UK. PM if you need one or two.

Re: Stickers and Labels TR7 TR8 and variants!

I have a 1979 TR7 carb car label (in red, but I need the dimensions) - but not for a TR8 - is there such a label as most carbed TR8s were 1980 model year - even if built in 1979?

Re: TR7 Grey Dashboards - More than one shade from the factories?

The only grey that is all grey is the ECU cover for the EFI 7s and 8s. This was always grey from the start as production of those was when the grey dash had become the de facto standard.

Re: TR7 Tyre Pressure Decal ZKC 2601 (ZKC2601)

Does it say ZKC2601? (and TR7 2v) ? Does it have a black or silver surround and are the words ZKC in black on silver or silver on black? Finally is it a thin metal plate or a label? It goes in the glove box on the drop down lid next to the hinge - but the answer to the questions above will indicate ...

Re: Enamel Bonnet Badge

Christopher,
I have a new old stock one that I am going to take with me, but do NOT want to take it apart! An old one - the worse the better - would be good to have. The company are on holidays this week but I am looking to have discussions in early August.
