Re: TR7 Steering Wheel question

It would appear that the plastic `spokes` are a fixture, short of damaging something.
Solved the problem for 99p with an A5 sample of matt silver vinyl wrap-can even do the job in situ and no masking reqired.

TR7 Steering Wheel question

Is it possible to remove the three `silver spokes`from the later version of the steering wheel PKS1551 without damaging anything?
They appear to be plastic mouldings-two long (horiz.L/R)and one short (vert.)
Mine are looking a bit tired and could do with a repaint.

Re: Tr7, 5-speed axle -rear wheel bearings question

Still asking the question about rear axle bearing dimensions!-or the British Timken part no. please ?
Hoping somebody has a bearing set and a vernier to help out with this quest?

Re: Tr7, 5-speed axle -rear wheel bearings question/help

I agree, I`ve had good experience with SKF over the years.
The prime dimensions would be a good starting point so if somebody has a `bearing in hand` to measure.

Re: Tr7, 5-speed axle -rear wheel bearings question/help

Thanks for that info.- I have left an alert for when in stock.-not cheap though :(
Do we know any of the prime dimensions OD/ID/ outer race width/inner race width-could be the `two parts` have seperate OEM part nos. :?:

Tr7, 5-speed axle -rear wheel bearings question/help

I`m looking for the correct Timken OEM part number for these bearings.
And then I`m on the hunt for some bearings which I gather may be difficult!
-does anybody have a source?-just one would suffice at present.
Thanks in advance

Re: Ever get the feeling of de javu?

Try running without the filter-, insert an 8mm piece of pipe as temp. hook-up (or a longer piece of hose), worth a go - at least you`ll know one way or another

Re: Windscreen wipers and blowers

Soon to be on eBay. Really need a 4 seater. If it doesn't sell I will happily keep it and tell the Mrs I did try!!! I'll struggle to find anything decent for the money 7s go for. Or I think as useable My heart's not in selling it but I'll test the waters. Not a great time to sell. Looks like you ne...

Re: Guaranteed A1100% Hand Brake Adjustment..Please!

You can only get a good handbrake if the self adjusters are in good condition and working properly! Even if you can hear them ratcheting up, the pressure caused by the handbrake being applied can force them to `de-ratchet`if they are worn - and you lose the handrake. You can only check this `wear` w...

Re: tonneau cover..rusty stiff zip

If these tonneaus are `new` to you and your car has not had a full tonneau in use/fitted before you will need the button fixes along door tops, top of dash etc. (and header rail if they are of the the vertical `screen closing` panel style). All do-able but worth considering in your decision making. ...

Re: Seating arrangement.

The seats cannot be `rotated`but the upholstery can! You would have to remove both seats, strip both and swap over and re-build--not, I hasten to add, for the faint hearted and not a five minute job but it is do-able,--you could of course replace the rubber support panel under the seats at the same ...
