Re: Weber steel 48DCOE inlet manifolds

Okay, as I need more than the one set of steel manifolds that I recently acquired I shall look at getting a small batch of these made, do not feel compelled to purchase as I do not need to sell whatever I have made. I hope to start moving this forward in the forthcoming weeks, though there are some ...

As their response was not enthusiastic about re-manufacturing these I shall not hold my breath. It would seem that most of the original...

I carried on reading the link, it seems that the TR, as well as the other cars may have become sealed in following the partial collapse of the tunnel. On a slightly different note about TR7s, I remember hearing years ago of one of a Speke built TR7 being placed into a sealed but viewable chamber on ...

There are no crushable spacers on the half shafts. The crushable spacer is on the pinion which is not disturbed if you are only doing a wheel bearing normally.

We use carbon fairings on our road bikes here and in europe, they don't fail road safety tests!

Perhaps we are indeed lucky.

Marko, If parts made from composites are not road legal, then how did they homologate for road use the F40 back in the late 80's and countless other cars since? I am sure that the use of carbon composites may be frowned upon in certain historic events for the '7 V8', however little is said about ara...

Composite parts

Is there any interest in composite parts for our cars? I am specifically thinking of kevlar bonnets, boot lids and arches. The panels can be either supplied as an outer skin or moulded with the inner frame. I am thinking of doing the bonnet for my own car anyway, as the items can be made fairly ligh...
