Re: Replacement door lights

I bought the ones from an online suite in the US called "Juliano's Hot Rod Parts" or similar. They are slightly larger than the originals, requiring a little fettling with Stanley knife in the door card. They use a festoon globe like the originals. They tilt through 3 positions like the or...

The NOS Items from Robsport have arrived and, indeed, they are smooth bored with no thread.

Glass Fuses

Hello, This might not be an issue for those of you in the UK, but here in the land down under, getting replacement "lucas" style glass fuses is a real PITA because of their 29mm size. Anyhow, after zero success with local parts suppliers and repairers, I have discovered that a company call...

Re: Door lock buttons

Thanks all for the replies. Robsport have some new old stock, so that's me taken care of for the next 35 years or so (if they last as long as the originals). FWIW it seems the same ones were fitted to the Dolomite and the 2000/2500s, based on less than scientific google images search during a moment...

Door lock buttons

Mine are have fallen apart and the replacement items from Rimmers look completely different. I have managed to find some online that look more consistent with the original style, but I don't know what the thread measurements are for our cars, or how to measure this myself? I see things online listed...

Fog Light Switch and Connections

Hello, My fog light switch has toasted itself, and has melted part of the connector block too. The original 3 position fog light switch I have is seemingly unavailable new, but I have ordered another one which I will see if I can get sorted to work. From what I understand there were a number of vari...

Re: TR7 Wiper Blades with Pin??

I replaced the old arms and blades with the Trico replacement assemblies that are recommended, but I was never happy with them as they sat higher than the orginals and the rubber on them wore to quickly. Last year I sourced some different Trico things that were the combined blade and arm assembly in...

Re: What's the difference between 2Ltr, Sprint and V8 ?

Disclaimer - People (including myself) tend to suffer from self-confirmation bias! It's hard to compare engines because each person's experience base is different, and there are so many tune/customisation choices. Few I think would have had the benefit of test driving a 7, Sprint and an 8 straight o...

Re: Its been stolen!

Thanks for the good wishes and the suggestion re cctv. Apparently the reason they didn't get far is because the forgot to "un" hotwire it: The starter kept running until the battery went flat. Starter is totally cooked too.

Its been stolen!

Hello all,

Been a while but I thought I would put the word out that AXJ 673 (White FHC, 16v) was stolen from Fairfield Victoria (Australia) on the night of 29 April. I would love to get it back - please any local members keep an eye it for it (or its bits!)

Sorry to be an anorak but the delay unit (Lucas 6da) was made with two different type of connectors. One version has the connectors that we are familiar with (though may need the gender reversed depending on the year of car) and the other has a slightly different plug fitting, which looks a lot like...
