Re: TR7 Steering Wheel question

Hear you go. The green thing in one of the pictures is the tool I used to leaver them off. From memory the single vertical one was the tightest. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/HT-MIP9gA4zSl7l7KTGfXNtysDtHSp7PpdQsPWj614aRQYOM4-ARVG2I6dXU7PJHmebb3GmfZ0c70svfMlDyA3swN_HC1Pj6xdP_VgqjhRjyxE4dzaDx500JU...

Re: TR7 Steering Wheel question

They do pop off, though it is rather nerve racking. I've a small plastic trim tool which I used to prise them off. Like others I got some suitable vinyl wrap off ebay, and wrapped them. Took me a couple of goes for me to be happy, but it wasn't to difficult. Just remember to use some heat to help ge...

Re: Fitting New Weather Seals (TR7 DHC)

I've done one side with the the floppy rubber stuff, not been that happy with it as it doesn't seem to sit as well as the original. I have found a couple of places (in the UK) that sell semi-rigid ones though. I've not tried these yet though. https://coh-baines.co.uk/product/waist-strip-in-1m-length...

Re: DHC Steering Rack Adkustment Question

Just double checked mine and I've the middle one with no obvious adjustment. Mines a late model X plate DHC.

I had a late model FHC quite a while ago and I'm sure it was the same as well. Probably a parts bin specials :-)

Re: It is not as bad as we think

Stumbled across this on youtube the other day. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMe9MOBjkmc. Wonder if it's the way to go for side lights

Not sure how we'd get the opaque look.

Re: Issues balancing SU Carbs

On mine I just replaced the spindles and throttle discs and that sorted out the issue. So you might be able to get away without rebushing.

The throttle linkage probably won't make any difference to your idle, it will give you an smother/easier throttle action.

Re: Issues balancing SU Carbs

had a similar problem on mine, it was down to spindle wear.

Replaced with new ones and everything sorted.

Rimmer Brake Kit Discs

hi all,

bought a second hand Rimmer brake kit, and looking on their site it appears to be https://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-GRID007426 this one.

Does anybody know what the discs and pads are from?

Is this the sort of thing? http://www.thewedgeshopstore.com/produc ... m-TR7.html

Looks quite nice, but I can't seem to see anywhere in the UK that stocks this.

Anti-dive Kit bush problem?

Finally got round to fitting an anti-dive kit and some polybushes. Problem is that when you tighten them up the bush gets squeeze out a bit on one side. Double checked and it's fine on the other side. Is this something to worry about? I noticed that the there's a notch where the bush goes in the sub...
